- Strategies for Brand Promotion-
During a workshop with 9 Chinese social entrepreneurs (Gingko Fellows), hosted by I-Genius, in collaboration with the British Council, Beijing, in July 2011, I was thrilled to be invited to meet with the fellows and exchange concepts on leadership. After this tour, full of visits to great social enterprises, the fellows returned to China with fresh new ideas on leading the future of philanthropic development in the Far East.

Here's the series of transcripts of the session we had together.
1) What are the strategies in different stage for brand promotion?
Start with yourself- what you stand for your personal values
Be clear about what you want to achieve and the impact it will have in your community or the world.
What are your non-negotiables?
· Grow with your customers.
· Monitor if the market is suitable for your values or your values suitable with the changing market· If there is too much to sacrifice (for yourself or if it harms something someone in the process) ask yourself difficult questions.
· Be associated with networks that live up to these values
· Keep your independence
· Stand out from the crowds.
Try out this strategy: Observe, Digest, Learn, Question/challenge, Promote, Learn again, Stand out (and do it all over again...)
I also recommend the Biomimicry Design Spiral - a tool for innovation - from Janine Benyus. It works also for brand development.
To be Continued.
